This year's chosen charity

Last year a very close friend of the team was diagnosed with a rare disease called amyloidosis. This is one of the most rare and poorly understood diseases in the text books. It only affects about 8 in a million people and is often under diagnosed due to the difficulty of diagnosis. We have chosen to raise funds for the Royal Free Hospital in London, where they take care of amyloidosis patients and give them the most up to date treatment possible. It is a major teaching hospital and one of five world renown organisations in Europe’s largest health science partnerships.

On 30th July 2011thegallery team climbed Snowdonia to raise funds for the research into, and treatment of these sufferers.
